Inaugural ceremony of Nezach Yehuda soldiers cycle March 13, which was to take place on Thursday last week and postponed to today (Sunday), will be held at 17:30 at Givat Tachmoshet in Jerusalem.

The reason for the cancellation of the inaugural ceremony at Givat Tachmoshet last week is a result of the protests against the ultra-Orthodox IDF recruits, and due to the information received by the IDF on demonstration that Haredi sector extremists are planning to hold close by.

Soldiers explained that the reason for cancellation of the ceremony is not due to fear that the demonstration will ruin the ceremony, as police know how to deal with the problem, but because the friction will cause hatred between brothers: "We are here for them, even if they do not realize it, and our job is to avoid unnecessary confrontations," said Commander of the soldiers.

The soldiers, who received the news Wednesday night, resented and said that canceling the ceremony will give Orthodox extremists a feeling of success, but transferring the ceremony in such a short time is impossible. Moreover, the parents of the soldiers and their families, some of whom came from abroad or took vacations to attend the ceremony, are not sure everyone will be able to do so on Sunday.

The soldiers were told that the ceremony will take place on Sunday at the brigade's training base in the Jordan Valley, but last night (Motzei Shabbos), it was decided at the highest levels of the IDF, that the ceremony will take place today at Givat Tachmoshet as planned.

"The soldiers are satisfied, families are happy," said Rabbi Yitzchak Bar Chaim, one of the founders of Nezach Yehuda to B'Chadrei Charedim following the decision. "I hope everyone will act with restraint, respect each other, and will not look to attack."
