Uman all year round: local community opens Talmud Torah

In Uman, Ukraine, a Jewish community has been established in recent years, which is taking shape in the neighborhood near the grave of Rabbi Nachman. The community consists of about 50 families of Breslev Chassidim who follow the path of Rabbi Nachman.

These families are the backbone of the community, and besides them there are dozens of young men engaged in part in studies in a spiritual framework in parallel to occupations related to tourism which is growing at the place, as well as businessmen working in the Ukraine and Eastern Europe with real estate, transportation, business contacts, etc., and fixed their abode in Uman for the spiritual atmosphere prevailing in it.

After the success in the kindergarten which was established a few months ago, it was decided recently to open a new Talmud Torah 'Shlom Banayich' in Uman. The Talmud Torah is for children aged between two and a half to five years, and will be activated in the meantime with one class during 10:00am -14:00pm.

The Talmud Torah will be located in the structure of the World Breslev Center in the kloiz compound. The grand opening will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) at 13:00 in the complex.
