Thieves broke into the home of Rabbi Chaim Druckman

Home of Rabbi Chaim Druckman, a leader of religious Zionism, was broken into on Thursday late at night when no one was there because his wife is sitting shiva for her brother. This was reported in Ma'ariv.

"They were professionals and probably used gloves," said the rabbi, who lives in the Merkaz Shapiro settlement. He said the burglars stole from his home jewelry and his wallet, as well as items and valuables, and left behind a big mess.

"Everything was upside down and scattered, they threw objects on the floor. With Hashem's help He will replace the absence. My house is open, so they did not have to break in, just go in," said the rabbi. "I went out on Thursday at 22:45 and when I returned at two in the morning I saw a lot of people outside and realized there was a burglary.

"The police came and said burglars used gloves, so it will be difficult to find fingerprints. I suspect they noticed the shiva ads in the community and knew that people are not at home. They seem like professional burglars."
