Drama in Moshav Miron: this morning after police held a hearing to all owners of coops in Miron, it was decided on a closure orders for chicken coops and order of the immediate evacuation of all 2000 beds placed in them. So far the police have identified five coops.
The hearing was conducted following the opinion of the Attorney General of North, stating that coops are dangerous for sleep and that "this is mortal danger."
According to police, the roof in the chicken coops are made of asbestos products, which is composed of tiny particles, and carried in the air in the form of dust, smoke or soot. Asbestos dust is generated to harmful toxic substance causes of lung disease, as well as other health damage from the material.
Lag B'omer at Rashbi is a holiday for residents at Moshav Miron, but not just because of the hillula: The largest chassiduses, as well as many other pilgrims towards the hillula, ask to stay near the area on Shabbos, the eve of Lag B'Omer. Shortage of accommodation, with huge demand led to the residents of the moshav, who own chickens coops which are inactive for several years, to place beds for the followers - and rent each bed, for high prices.
Now, following the decision of the police, large chassiduses find themselves in a hopeless situation. "For years we sleep in the evening and Lag B'Omer itself in the chicken coops. All those years nothing happened. If there is demand, we will place extinguishers in place, and if necessary also a fire unit just in case, "says one chassidic activist.
Examination held by B'Chadrei Charedim indicates that for this coming Shabbos 2,000 beds were placed in the chicken coops - mostly for the Bayan followers and the rest for the Karlin, Lelov, Zhvill and more.
