Rabbi Eliezer Berland, leader of Shuvu Banim, sought for questioning in Israel on suspicion of severe assault, celebrated Lag B'Omer in Morocco.
B'Chadrei Charedim has learned that a group of about 100 members of Shuvu Banim landed last weekend in Morocco. Only this group managed to reach the northern- African state, despite the wishes of the Rabbi that the community in Israel will celebrate in Miron.
Shabbos was spent along with the rabbi, in one of the cities near Marrakech. After Shabbos, they went to the cemetery, where a bonfire was made near one of the graves of tzaddikim buried there. One of the disciples said: "We danced hours of real joy."
At the same time, hundreds of members of the community came to the lighting in Miron.
During the night a phone call was received from Morocco, and Rabbi Berland was on the line. The phone was connected to the speakers in Miron, and for 20 minutes the Rabbi gave over a shiur to his followers in Israel.
Among the things the rabbi said to his congregation: "On Lag B'Omer we are forgiven for all the sins of Israel. One who comes to Miron a Holy Fire comes flashing around him. The Shuvu Banim community is going through a nissayon-we must be strong."
Rabbi Berland's chassidim are trying to hide the exact place of residence, in order not to create commotion around him. Some claim that the news of the exact location contributes nothing and causes problems for the Jewish communities in Morocco.
