On Shaulzon street in Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem, a man collapsed this morning and lost consciousness.

Medics of Hachovesh Har Nof and Ichud Hatzala Jerusalem Branch performed resuscitation, while giving an electric shock, and by the grace of heaven the man regained consciousness.

He was taken in a stable condition for further medical treatment and tests at Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem.

"In this case we see how important it is that each case will receive the attention and professional and fast treatment," says Rabbi Yaakov Ehrlich, paramedic in Hachovesh Har Nof. "Even if it sounds trivial and simple, seriousness pays off, and proves once again how much it saves lives."

Ichud Hatzala spokesman said: "A case of regaining consciousness after CPR is an exception and it is a miracle. In most cases, after the CPR the casualty is evacuated in critical condition to the hospital sedated and on a respirator. A medical staff pointed out to the paramedics that the activity of the defibrillator of Ichud Hatzala, by which paramedics gave the electric shock, constituted a decisive factor in saving the life of the man, who returned to full consciousness."
