Suspected: Rabbi in Shitta Prison smuggled drugs to an inmate
Police arrested 30-year-old resident of Afula who gave Torah classes to the inmates in Shitta Prison, suspected of smuggling drugs to an inmate in a few cases • detention was extended until tomorrow • investigation continues

Investigation currently being conducted in Beit She'an police station, together with the prison authorities, raises the suspicion that a resident of Afula who volunteered to give Torah classes in Shitta prison (formerly Shata prison), gave the suspect substance suspected as drugs to a prisoner in some cases.
The suspect, 30, was arrested last week on Thursday, and was brought to the Nazareth Magistrate's Court where he was remanded until tomorrow (Monday).
This is a man who voluntarily gave shiurim.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
