A paramedic of Hatzala organization was robbed Last Friday morning at gunpoint, in front of his young son.

The robbery took place in Williamsburg in a building in which the business owned by the paramedic is located. He said that while he was in the warehouse along with his youngest son, a masked young Hispanic came in, and at gunpoint ordered him to raise his hands. The robber shackled the hands of the paramedic, tied him and his son up to a chair - blocked the child's mouth to prevent him from screaming for help.

The robber took the money of the paramedic, his mobile device and car keys, and hurried to escape in the volunteer's car, in which there was also valuable life saving equipment.

Police arrived and managed to locate the stolen car - which the robber deserted - already an hour later, just one mile from the scene of the robbery. All valuables were taken from the car, including expensive equipment.

The robber himself had not been captured yet.

R' David Cohen, chairman of Hatzala organization in Williamsburg, said: "We thank Hashem that the paramedic and his son were not injured. It could have ended in a tragedy. "
