MK Meir Porush attacks the intent of the Minister of Education Shay Piron, to stop funding the haredi institutions that don’t teach core curriculum.
"The attempt to force on the Haredi education, based on the proven success which is built under the guidance of the Gedolei Yisrael, the parameters of the secular education which is failing, is absurd and laughable," said Porush, "when according to the Ministry of Education and the teachers union, there are tens of thousands of open cases at the police against the youth."
"Tens of thousands of students consumed drugs and alcohol and many teachers reported being beaten by their students," says the MK.
"I suggest to the Minister of Education, Shai Piron, to roll up his sleeves and take care of the fruit of the labor of the state education system, before he preaches and tries to force the core curriculum on the Orthodox."
