On Shabbos afternoon, a man in his 60s collapsed in the Yebiah Omer shul located on Uziel Street in Bnei Brak, and lost consciousness during a shiur.
Hatzalah Bnei Brak medics, who were called, began performing CPR operations, during which an electric shock was given to the patient, after which he returned to full consciousness. He was taken to Tel Hashomer hospital.
Zeevi Tepper, a Hatzalah paramedic told B'Chadrei Charedim: "At about 17:00 I received a report on my Mirs reporting an unconscious person in a shul, along with other volunteers we performed resuscitation on the man who collapsed during Rabbi Yigal Cohen's shiur, and using my defibrillator device we gave him an electric shock, after which the person returns to full consciousness and communicated with us."
Meir Zargiria, a Hatzalah Gush Dan medic said: The man collapsed in front of my eyes in midst of a shiur in shul, I instantly began resuscitation, while calling on the operational radio of the organization to other volunteers to come to the scene. After brief resuscitation in which he received an electric shock, the man regained consciousness and spoke to us and asked us what had happened to him.
No doubt the immediate resuscitation after losing consciousness and providing initial electric shock, helped the man, and he returned to full consciousness.
