London police does not give up: the court confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) to the police to continue the investigation against Hagaon R' Chaim Halpern - head of the Divrei Chaim congregation, his brother Rabbi David Halperin head of kehilla in Hendon and two activists, Gavriel Asset - head of 'Hashomrim' in Golders Green, and Alexander Strom.

According to the decision, the police can continue to investigate the allegations against Rabbi Halperin in the next three months. Even the investigation and establishment of evidence against the three other suspects who allegedly disrupted the court proceedings - will continue.

The Haredi community in London were surprised by the court's decision. Until yesterday it was estimated there that the police would announce the closure of the case, in light of the fact that it could not collect evidence against Rabbi Halperin, after women expressed opposition to complain to the police.

Following the decision to continue the investigation, the release conditions of the four will continue. Rabbi Halperin was forbidden to leave his home between 22:00 and 6:00 in the morning. The high bail deposited at the police will remain until the police investigation has ended.

"The police are trying to make muscles," explained one of the activists, "to prove it has not finished the investigation, although there was no progress. We hope it will end sooner than three months, because such an affair floating in the air is not good for anyone."

Due to the court ruling, the special Beis Din dayanim assembled to investigate the affair will not return to London at this time, to avoid obstruction of justice.

It is noted that the police, despite repeated requests of activists, refused to recognize the Beis Din as an authority to investigate.
