Must not get engaged until Shavuot • New regulations for a new zeman

Summer zeman has begun in the yeshiva world and Kollels on Rosh Chodesh Iyar. And with the renewal of time many yeshiva and kollel students were told of the new regulations and recommendations, which they must or should adopt.
B'Chadrei Charedim brings a collection of those regulations;

Avreichim of Yeshiva Ateret Shlomo, Modi'in Illit, headed by Hgrs"b Sorotzkin, began the summer zeman at the magnificent new Beis Medrash inaugurated last Erev Pesach.

A notice pinned in the study told yeshiva students there is no keeping seats in the Beis Medrash before 14:00 noon due to final arrangements and those who catch seats ahead of time are violating the regulations, "the language of the ad.

The zeman in the new Beis Medrash, was inaugurated on the order of Hgray"l Steinman, to the Rosh Kollel Rabbi Yechezkel Etrog, studying for three days in a row. At least a hundred yeshiva students of the kollel signed and pledged to learn the required sequence, of course for a suitable scholarship.

Yeshivat Givat Shaul, Jerusalem, equipped the students at the end of the winter zeman with a manifesto with a line of regulations sent by the yeshiva management to the parents, for the new zeman.

In the proclamation, the yeshiva management determines the nature and character and highlights the rules required for applicants to be among the ranks. For example, newspapers and cooking accessories cannot be held in the rooms, please dress fitting and proper for a yeshiva student, and other regulations in maintaining modesty.

One must not get engaged until Shavuot

Yeshivas Mir Brachfeld in Modi'in Illit, brought a technician who cut off the radio of the MP 3 players of all Shiur A students. A student, who didn’t bring his player to be disconnected, may not carry it inside the yeshiva.

Chernobyl yeshiva, published regulations, those students of Shiur B may not get engaged before Shavuot.

The regulation is accompanied by a severe sanction. Anyone who violates the order, it said in letters sent to parents of students, will be expelled immediately from the yeshiva upon his engagement.

At the Modzitz Yeshiva: Modzitzer Rebbe delivered a speech, status, during a lechaim tisch, conducted in his room, after shacharis on the occasion of the opening of the new zeman.

The Rebbe said that because most of the yeshivas do not complete the masechtes taught by the yeshiva curriculum, every boy should accept upon himself, in between sedarim to learn the masechtes, so that at the end of the year they can hold a siyum.
