Tragedy in Ramat Shlomo • 3 months old died

On Sadigura Rebbe Street in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo, a three months old baby died.

Hatzalah of Jerusalem, called to the scene, performed life-saving resuscitation, but a doctor ruled the death of the infant.

Hatzalah spokesman, said: "The parents lay down the toddler early evening and unfortunately found him after a few hours unconscious and not breathing.

"The Hatzalah volunteers who live adjacent buildings rushed to the scene and tried to save his life, after a lengthy resuscitation and unfortunately he was pronounced dead, it may be sudden infant death syndrome, the background is being checked."

ZAKA volunteers Jerusalem District were called to treat the dead with dignity.

Background to the death is not clear, and the Jerusalem police investigators arrived at the scene to examine the circumstances of death.

After the intervention of ZAKA Operations Officer Jerusalem Meir Akar, the police gave up on the autopsy, and the baby was released for burial.
