Concern: kosher meat in Poland is running out
יעקב נחומי

CThree months ago the court in Warsaw, Poland banned the continued existence of Jewish slaughter in the country.

"Therefore," warns Peter Kadletziik, president of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Poland, "within a month we will run out of stock of kosher meat in Poland - which will force us to import meat and meat will be dramatically more expensive in Poland."

According to Polish law Slaughter without stunning is prohibited, but until recently, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture found a solution to the problem, with the exception of the Jewish and Muslim slaughter.

But following a request by animal rights groups in Poland to court, he stated that the Jewish and Muslim slaughter is prohibited.

Polish agriculture minister announced that he intends to make an amendment that would allow the slaughter, but in fact until now nothing has been done.
