"Useless eaters, a minority that controls the country, I would have thrown the barbecue on their heads, fortunately the ovens at Auschwitz are not working," These are only a few talkbacks which recently flooded the Facebook social network.
The comments were raised by users in response to a picture in which haredim are seen on Monday evening of Holocaust Day having a barbeque in Sacher Park in Jerusalem.
On Monday, the day of the Holocaust, an article was published in Yedioth Ahronoth that 200 ultra-Orthodox boys held a barbeque on Holocaust Day made in memory of "the victims."
The night before published Ran Melamed, director general Yedid Organization, the image showing a group of 10 Yeshiva students sitting and standing beside a barbecue in the park. Although the next day there was those who testified that the facts published are completely different to reality, this did not stop the rampant incitement which intensified on the internet.
And here's a collection of different reactions on pages of social network (original errors):
• "What I have to say it did not want to say on your page. Filled with curses and wishes."
• "put them into gas chambers, garbage."
• "How easy it would be to give them a discount in the form of "they do not know". But they do know, and do so in defiance to show that it does not have anything to do with them. Fortunately ovens do not work at Auschwitz."
• "I wish I was there!! I would have thrown the barbeque at their heads! And they want respect?? Hate the entire Haredi community from today".
• "Useless eaters, a minority which controls the military policy of our country, no army, no taxes, only them and G-d."
• "death to the haredim ... this time they gone too far .. I'll never forget what they did yesterday."
• "They should be grilled like dogs."
• "Shame!! Hope their party will soon be over at least financially."
Many of the comments posted on the Facebook page of Melamed, he chose not to filter the inflammatory responses. Of the hundreds of responses, it was difficult to identify the reactions of the users who tried to defend the group of boys taken in Sacher Park. But despite the difficulty, we were able to bring some of them:
Yotam Barzani, Israel Radio News Editor wrote to Melamed: "I only see one barbeque in the picture. I saw your previous status (" Gan Sacher looks like a giant haredi barbecue") and I was horrified. While I was on my way home, I stopped at Sacher Park -23:05 to check if what you wrote is real. I saw maybe 30-40 people in the park and one barbecue. You are misleading, to say the least "
Another user wrote: "A thousand secularists upload pictures of vodka and feasts. Why don’t you talk about them??? Why do you not copy their photos? Do you have an answer? And if the one who uploaded the photo is not from today and did it just to incite against the religious? You should be ashamed of yourselves!"
Another user also attacked the agitators: "Do you do not celebrate New Year's Eve??? Do you know what Christmas is???"
