Concern for the condition of Rabbi Yaakov Chai Yosef, who suffered a year and three months ago with pancreatic cancer and has been hospitalized since last Friday in critical condition at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.
The Rabbi is hospitalized fully conscious but his associates say that he "is very weak."
One of the Rabbi's students said that even in recent times, although the Rabbi weakened, he continued giving regular lessons, "We continue to pray, and hope there will be miracles."
Today (Tuesday), the eve of Rosh Chodesh Iyar, students and associates will hold a "Yom Kippur katan" prayer at the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem, near the graves of the Chidaa and Hgr"m Eliyahu zt"l, with rabbis and mekubalim.
Rabbi Yosef, Rosh Yeshiva of Chazon Yaakov, the son of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef continued giving regular lessons the last year, even though doctors said a long time ago that the disease nesting in his body is terminal.
Recently, his father, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef referred to his medical condition and asked to pray for his recovery, "Unfortunately, my son Rabbi Yaakov, who's whole life has been Torah, trying to learn and teach – has been unwell lately," he said during one of his lessons, "now he is very sick, and I ask you, anyone who can pray that Hashem should send him a speedy recovery."
Pray for the recovery of Rabbi Yaakov Chai ben Margalit.
