Since the incident, the director was fired from the Talmud Torah.
Rockland District Attorney's Office said this week that in order to progress in investigating the case the child will have to sign a document in which he witnesses the incident.
The deadline for signing this affidavit is on 22 April, 60 days after police received information about the attack. Incidentally, the police were forced to press charges against Spitzer on the basis of the investigation carried out and bruises that appeared at the time on the child's face.
If the statement from the child's family, represented by a lawyer, is not received, the charges against the manager may be canceled. Previously a police official raised the possibility that the parents are afraid to cooperate in the investigation as they are threatened by members of Satmar.
