Huge queues were recorded tonight (end of Pesach), in bakeries across the country.
The holiday ended and Am Yisrael is hungry for chametz. Shortly after the holiday ended huge queues trailed outside the major bakeries across the country.
North African ethnic indicate the evening with Maimonah, marking the end of Pesach.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sarah visited Maimonah Celebrations in Ohr Akiva, along with the Mayor Simcha Yosifov, and chairman of the World Federation of Moroccan Jewry, Sam Ben Shitrit.
"Am Yisrael, eat and be merry!" Netanyahu called. "Am Yisrael passes from matza and bitter herbs to honey." He also thanked "the police and security forces who took care to protect and preserve the people of Israel who traveled during the holiday."
Netanyahu expressed regret over the deaths of three members of the Sraiha family who drowned in Ashkelon beach. "I spoke with Hassan, the father, and I told him that I speak for all the citizens of Israel and I strengthen him, to find along with the rest of the family the mental strength to overcome the tragedy," said the Prime Minister.
"Now, hundreds of thousands of citizens celebrate the Maimonah. I ask you citizens of Israel, drive home carefully, life is precious. Look after yourselves and the lives of your families," concluded Netanyahu.
The other members of the Knesset and ministers toured Maimonah celebrations. Minister of Economy and Trade, Naftali Bennett, celebrated in Netivot and sent his blessing "Happy Maimonah celebrations, sisters and brothers."
U.S. Ambassador Dan Shapiro arrived at a Maimonah at Ashkelon.
Tomorrow, Maimonah holiday will also be noted and the arrival of hundreds of thousands of vacationers is expected at parks, forests and campgrounds.
JNF officials called for public visitors to observe the rules of safety and use of fire, light fires only where permitted and put off the coals at the end of use. In addition, keep the country clean, and collect at the end of the day the trash and throw it in the trash cans at the major entrance to the forest.
