10 year old boy standing near a barbecue on Hagana Street in Tzefat was seriously burned when he poured acetone to light the barbecue. The fire ignited his clothes, but according to witnesses his tzitzis somehow didn’t catch fire.
Hatzalah medics of the Galil branch gave him primary health care treatment and he was taken to Ziv hospital in Tzefat.
A Hatzalah spokesman said: "The child was burned and his clothes caught fire as a result of a barbecue fire which erupted. Medics gave him medical treatment at the scene, and then he was evacuated to Ziv Hospital in the city, in moderate condition and fully conscious."
