Development in the affair of treifos in Los Angeles. The haredi businessman Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz is purchasing the problematic butcher shop in Los Angeles.
Businessman Shlomo Rechnitz of Los Angeles bought the problematic store, the kashrus organization R.C.C. of California Rabbis Committee agreed to return the shop under its supervision. A mashgiach will constantly monitor and new employees will be appointed. Since the explosion of the affair which led to the removal of the kashrus, the store owner Michael Engelman has managed to get the kashrus of another kashrus system headed by Rabbi Weiss.
Engelmann also announced that he will bring in vast improvements in the butchery to prevent recurrence, but the Ministry of Health decided to open an investigation against him has changed the plans and laid the ground for the purchase of the store.
Rabbi Yaakov Wayne, one of the heads of RCC kashrus system, confirmed the news and said that the butchery under new ownership gets the hechsher of the kashrus system.
