For the first time on the Seder table of the Satmar Rebbe, an important item which has not yet graced the table, appeared: the "cup of Eliyahu' of the Rebbe Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz zt"l, which the Rebbe received last summer as inheritance in Vizhnitz, after the passing of the Rebbe, the Yeshuos Moshe.
The Rebbe is, as known, the Rebbe zt"l 's son-in-law, and during the division, his other sons-in-law, the Rebbes of Belz, Squira and Hagr"m Ernster also gained several religious articles.
Every year, the Rebbe of Satmar held the Seder in the Hall of Tishim in his home in Kiryat Yoel, with chossons who are supposed to get married next year.
About 210 chossons who learn in Satmar yeshiva participated in two Seder nights conducted by the Rebbe, and dined together with the Rebbe and his family.
The Rebbe began the Seder immediately after Ma'ariv, after holding a special instruction he received from his uncle the Rebbe the Divrei Yoel of Satmar, while he was with him at the Seder as a chosson before his marriage, that he should make sure to eat the afikoman before chatzos. The public itself, is not makpid about it, and only the Rebbe maintains his uncle's instruction carefully.
The Rebbe wore before the Seder the 'Kittel' special inherited, which belonged to his uncle the Divrei Yoel. In addition to the above mentioned cup of Eliyahu, were placed on the table silver bowls used by his father - the Yeshuos Moshe, which he also gained in the division.
After the second Seder on Yom Tov Sheni, the Rebbe spoke about the greatness of the days of Sfiras Haomer and as customary, counted the Omer afterwards.
