Baruch Dayan truth: on the last night of Pesach Hagaon Hachossid R' Avraham Eliezer Rabinowitz, zt"l, one of the leaders and elders of Boyan, passed away in Jerusalem at the age of 89.
The deceased z"l was born in Jerusalem on the first Yom Tov of Pesach in 5684, to his father R' Meir Shalom Rabinowitz, a prominent proponent of Boyan and his mother, Mrs. Hannah a"h.
He acquired his learning at the Talmud Torah and Yeshiva Chaye Olam in Jerusalem where the heads and the rabbis of the yeshiva endeared him.
He was a noble figure and one of the most prominenet in Rozhin, a G-d fearing man and oved from his youth, a well versed Talmid Chochom who taught Torah and was complete in all his ways and manners with people and his Creator, and lived modestly.
Throughout his life, he cleaved to the Boyan Rebbes, R' Mordechai Shlomo zt"l and the Rebbe Shlita.
When the Rebbes of Rozhin established the Mesivta 'Tiferet Israel', he toiled to strengthen the establishment together with the Rosh Yeshiva R' Yehoshua Heschel Brim zt"l.
For years he headed the Boyan Kollel in Jerusalem where he taught Torah with wonderful devotion,
Several years ago, he lost his eldest son R' Yehoshua Asher Rabinowitz z"l despite the suffering he had throughout the years he did not complain and accepted them with love and silently.
The funeral journey which left after the Yom Tov and passed through the Kloiz of Boyan on Malchei Yisrael street in Jerusalem, massed attended led by the Rebbe who eulogized him and spoke of his personality at the final Tisch of the Yom Tov.
May his soul be cherished in the bundle of life.
