On Sunday a cyber attack is expected on Israel – according to a report this morning (Tuesday) in the Israel today newspaper. The offense is an attempt to download the Israeli presence from the Internet and it will focus on the major sites in the country.

Shay Blizblau, CEO of security firm Magellan, said to Israel Today, that the deployment of attackers is gaining power, but it is not on a scale which we have not met before. Among the threatened sites are banks and credit card companies, which attackers will try to plant viruses in them to infect the surfers who visit there.
IDF improves its ability in cyber warfare: lately a cyber war room was set up and in the near future a "cyber battalion" is expected to be set up, which will deal with the issue.

One should update this week three programs that are convenient loopholes through which one can enter: Macromedia Flash, Adobe Reader and Adobe's Oracle's Java software.

To protect your computer you will need to re-boot and see what software tries to install itself during the turn on. If you approached a site and suddenly you receive an offer to install software - suspect that here too a virus may be planted.
