There was a heavy mist today (7th day of Pesach), in all parts of the country, which began to disperse in the evening.
During the morning heat wave conditions prevailed in most of the country, which caused a heavy haze. High levels of air pollution were measured from north to south.
Following the heavy mist Tel Aviv Sde Dov Airport was closed to departures and arrivals and domestic flights were transferred to the airport.
Source of haze that comes to our region is North Africa, and extends from the cloud of dust from Greece and Turkey to Egypt.
Due to the haze, air pollution is higher than normal in many areas.
In Gush Dan area pollution level was measured 19 times higher than normal, In Yavne pollution levels reached 25 times more than normal and in Haifa reported pollution 44 times higher than normal.
Hatzalah union recommends avoiding breathing polluted air mainly those suffering respiratory problems, the elderly, infants and pregnant women, and stay indoors.
Especially the Yarkon
During the holiday about one million and two hundred thousand travelers visited nature sites.
Top sites are: Yarkon National Park, National Park Palmachim, Banias Nature Reserve, Nature Reserve Tel – Dan, Caesarea National Park and the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.
Tomorrow the weather is expected to be comfortable. 24 degrees in Katzrin, 24 in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem 23, Be'er Sheva 25 and Eilat 30.
Wednesday will be warm and a slight heat wave will prevail.
Thursday morning, strong winds another wave of dust will mark the expected cooling during Thursday and Friday - bringing with it local rain in northern and central Israel.
