Criminals, who harm Torah study, put the country in danger"

The Shabbos Hagadol sermon of Hgr"sh Vosner, delivered last Thursday, was very different from every year. There were no words of criticism on the Internet, no modesty issues, nor did he cite the laws of Pesach.
Sermon of the year was on the danger marked on the Torah world because of the decrees sought to impose.
Hgr"sh spoke for about five minutes about the importance of Torah study and noted that the entire Yetzias Mitzraim was only for the study of Torah, as it says: "as I drove you out of Egypt, you shall serve G-d on this mountain."
"The existence of Israel, from antiquity to the end of days, hinges on our holy Torah. Malachi the last prophet of our people, finished off his words - which appear in the haftarah we read on Shabbos Hagadol - with the words:" Remember the Torah of Moshe my servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel rules and laws. "That is, even if prophecy ended among the people, the Torah is alive and standing forever."
Here Hgr"sh attacked the leaders who hold the reins of power in Israel, sharply:
"Israel is now in danger. Criminals, who seek to harm Torah study, do not know that that they put the country into danger. They are not harming us, but themselves. Malachi the prophet sealed his prophecy with sharp words: 'lest I come and smite the earth with a curse". Know please those who wish to harm us, that they may cause harm to the environment and to Israel where they live."
Hgr"sh ended off his sermon with the words of the prophet, that he hopes that leaders will come to their senses eventually and that the day shall soon come "and the hearts of fathers shall return to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers."
