End of the locusts plague? • Additional swarms are unexpected

The Ministry of Agriculture reported this morning (Thursday), they sprayed invading swarms of locusts to Israel.
Spraying this morning focused mainly in the Ashalim area, and was carried out by two aircrafts and assisted by teams operating on the ground. Also, a short ground spraying was carried out in the premises.
Today only a small swarm was detected in the Ein Gedi - a significant reduction compared to the last few days. The Ministry continues to monitor the situation and update on developments.
Since the invasion of swarms of locusts of Egypt, pest control measures were taken every day in the early morning, when locusts are on the ground.
Yesterday three large Locust swarms were sprayed in the South.
Hot weather and wind helped in recent days to move the locusts north, and some grasshoppers were able to reach the center of the country and even the north.
But these were low amounts that did not risk the crops.
