Government approval

Previously the government in the Knesset was approved and an oath was taken by a majority of 68 MKs.

At the opening of the discussion MK Yuli Edelstein was elected to his position as chairman of the Knesset in replace of Reuven Rivlin ousted by an overwhelming majority of the 96 support and no opposition. Then the Prime Minister began to speak.

"Our top goal is to ensure the future of the Jewish people by ensuring the future of Israel. The root of our existence is the Jewish state. Upon entering the offices of government and the Knesset, we get a precious deposit of all Israeli citizens - they entrust to us the country," Opened Netanyahu, adding: "I believe and hope and expect that. I promise that the government will serve the general public in Israel - not just parts of it. Those represented in the coalition and the opposition. I can say that the work of the assembly was difficult; it was like a Hungarian cube, which needed Israeli ingenuity to arrange it. You do not always know if each square falls exactly in the right place."
After Netanyahu, Shelly Yachimovich delivered a speech too, and sharply attacked the Prime Minister. In her speech she mentioned the Minister of Science Yaakov Perry.

A mini storm was recorded during the reading of the list, when Netanyahu came to the name of Bennett; members of Yahadut Hatorah left the Knesset plenum as a measure of protest, while calling to Naftali Bennett: "Jews do not expel Jews".
Yahadut Hatorah explained the move: "Naftali Bennett allied exclusion of Haredim along with Lapid. The bulk of fire was indented to the religious Zionism who recently screamed" Jews do not expel Jews, and now its representatives betrayed the Orthodox Jews who ached their pain. Coalition agreement affects mostly children of the ultra-Orthodox, Yeshiva students and hundreds of thousands in need. The cry of mothers and children were expressed by members of Yahadut Hatorah. "MK Yisrael Eichler also said: "It is an injustice which we will not forgive them for, and we will remind it to them."
