'Neturei Karta' heads in Israel welcome the arrival of the U.S. president to Israel: while Barack Obama landed at Ben Gurion Airport, about 20 activists gathered at the creek march in Meah Shearim in Jerusalem.

There were no trumpets at the small procession, guard of honor, garlands or journalists from around the world - yet the participants carried American flags and signs in Hebrew and English, and sought to send a message to the President: "distinguish between Zionism and Judaism."

Yisrael Meir Hirsch, leader of 'Neturei Karta' Israel, told B'Chadrei Charedim, the reception was to clarify and affirm for Obama, "we are authentic Jews sitting here in Israel before the establishment of the state, and we have no recognition scores as the owner of the land. The most important message is that the Zionists are not related to the Jewish people and especially to Israel. The president should know that there is a difference - to stop its support for the Zionists as a supporter of Jews."

• Is Barack Obama good for Zionism?
"He is beginning to understand the tender wind that they are not ready for any waiver or agreement with the Palestinians. We think his visit here in Israel is to place pressure on them to begin to understand that there should be a change." He said Obama is also good for the Jews, "he had nothing against Judaism."

As to whether the U.S. government has someone who understands their minds, he says: "The support for Zionism is just an ideal. I recently met with a representative of the American Embassy and the White House said there is more and more understanding of the meaning of it.

"Obviously there they will understand us more than here, but we have no intention of leaving here only because of the Zionists. Our hope is that we can break free from captivity of the Zionist regime, and that God will drive them away, then we can live here together with the Palestinians in absolute equality."
