Assault attempt on Israelis today (Monday) at the airport in Warsaw, Poland.

Highschool yeshiva students from Central Israel landed in the late morning at the airport in Warsaw. While waiting for buses, a local resident approached them holding an iron bar and shouting insults against Jews.

Seconds before the local struck the iron rod on the head of one of the boys, one of the security guards of the delegation, blocked him and with the help of his friends of the security knocked the man to the floor and tied his hands behind his back.

"The hatred was in his eyes," testified D., a boy in the yeshiva, in a conversation with Behadrey Haredim. "By the screams of one of the boys who saw what that gentile is going to do, one of the guards composed himself and prevented the disaster that might have occurred."

A few minutes later the police came to the venue - and arrested the assailant.

Currently, hundreds of Israeli students are in Poland in the framework of youth journeys to Poland. They are staying in the country a few days and get to know from close by the sites related to the European Jewry's holocaust.
