Bnei Brak: Four avreichim burned during matzoh baking

Four avreichim arrived today (Monday) to bake matzos on Abarbanel Street in Bnei Brak. During kashuring the stove, a number of avreichim were burned from the fire, and called the Hatzalah medics – who gave them primary health care using Brandshield bandages.

The four, ages 20-30, burned their upper bodies, and were treated by Hatzalah medics, MDA and Hatzalah Gush Dan, one was moderately wounded three mildly wounded and evacuated to Tel Hashomer hospital.

Shmuel Berkowitz, a Hatzalah volunteer said:" I and other medics gave them primary health care using Brandshield bandages, after being burned by a hot stove and blast from flammable material in the oven in which they prepared the matzos, and then they were evacuated in mild to moderate condition to continue treatment under hospital care."

MDA spokesman stated that the MDA paramedics provided medical care and evacuated four men aged 30, including: One person with moderate injuries with upper body burns, and 3 slightly injured with burned limbs.

Yןsrael Gronich, Hatzalah Gush Dan medic, said: "The condition of one is considered moderate and he suffered second degree burns, the others are in mild-moderate condition in. We gave them initial treatment, and they were evacuated for further treatment."
