Why will Hgr"ch Kanievsky come to Modi'in Illit?

Although Hgr"ch Kanievsky does not usually leave Bnei Brak, on Monday Hgr"ch will exceed his practice and will come to Modi'in Illit, to participate in the inauguration and the introduction of two Sifrei Torah into the institutions of Ateret Shlomo, under the Presidency Hgrs"b Sorotzkin.

The reason why Hgr"ch will go especially, is because the new building was built in memory of his wife, Rebbetzin Batsheva Kanievsky a"h. In addition, the ark was donated in memory of his father in law, Rav Elyashiv zt"l.

Besides, Hgr"ch sees a special need to strengthen the Torah world these days, and because of this will arrive at the gathering in which more than 3,000 scholars will participate, students and graduates of the institutions of Ateret Shlomo across the country.

Besides for Hgr"ch, Hgray'l Steinman, Hgri"g Edelstein, Hagaon Edelstein, Rabbi Vizhnitz and many of the great leaders of Israel and Roshei Yeshivas will also participate.

The building can accommodate over a thousand yeshiva students at the same time in the main study, 'Kollel Rachnitz Family' led by Ateret Shlomo. In addition a floor in the building is designed for a Yeshiva Ketana.

Governor Rabbi Jack Stern, Brazil, contributed to the establishment of the Yeshiva Ketana, dedicated to the memory of Hgry"sh zt"l and it will be called Ateret Yosef Shalom.
