Three days since the fatal accident that occurred in Williamsburg on Motzei Shabbos, and claimed the lives of Nachman and Raizy Glauber z"l and their premature baby delivered after the death of his mother, and later died, New York Police increases today (Tuesday) the search for the BMW driver who hit the taxi in which the couple traveled - and fled the scene on foot.

The driver who allegedly was behind the wheel is Julio Acevedo, 44, a resident of Brooklyn. According to police sources, Acevedo was convicted previously of murder and two weeks ago was arrested for drunk driving, was charged and was released without bail.

To increase pressure on Acevedo police published yesterday (Monday) full details and picture media, to make him turn himself in.

The punishment, according to police officials, could be much graver because he fled the scene.

Witnesses said that immediately after the injury in a taxi which drove the Glauber couple z"l Acevedo sat on the sidewalk, holding his head in his hands, and when he noticed many people coming to the area – he fled.

Meanwhile, the prize of 15,000 dollars is guaranteed to those who provide information leading to the arrest of the fugitive driver.
