Hgra"y Schlesinger from Geneva celebrated 40 - Brother from Strasbourg banned

Yesterday (Sunday), was held in Geneva marking the 40th anniversary as role of Rav Machzikei Hadas in Geneva, Rabbi Avraham Yoffe Schlesinger.

Hundreds of residents of Geneva, community members and governors of the city came to celebrate. Rebbe of Square sent an emissary, Rabbi Sholom Ber Fishel, who brought the Rebbe's blessing. HaGaon Auerbach's letter was read in the rack.

Rabbi Schlesinger delivered the keynote address and received a copy as a gift from his community the first printed book from his grandfather the Baal Levush. Cantor Benjamin Muller from Belgium sung along with Orchestra Bamberger.
But the party was overshadowed with the absence of who was supposed to be the guest of honor, the eldest son, Rabbi Shmuel Akiva Schlesinger Community Leader of Strasbourg - after decades of separation he should have taken part at the current event.

As first reported two months ago in B'Chadrei Charedim, the first contact was made between the two, after forty years, and at the wedding of the youngest son of Hgra"y the brother was given the honor of the Kiddushin arrangement.

A resident of Geneva who attended the event told B'Chadrei Charedim that the absence of Rabbi Shmuel Akiva shocked the participants and overshadowed the joy.
