Again: inmates poured dirty water on Katsav's bed

Last weekend former President Moshe Katsav complained, the Torah prison inmates Ma'asiyahu wing, where he is serving a sentence of seven years in prison, continued to harass him. This after they poured dirty water on his bed, B'Chadrei Charedim has learned.

In light of the complaints, the relevant factors in prison and IPS opened an investigation. Again, the prisoners who allegedly harassed the prisoner Katsav, were able to keep their identities secret. IPS is currently taking various actions to locate and prevent further cases.

Information obtained to B'Chadrei Charedim show that given that this is a series of repeated attacks against Katsav, the prison considered punishing the entire Torah wing prisoners and forbidding them to leave their cells on Shabbos, so that each one of the prisoners will spend Shabbos in his cell.

After the prison administration realized that the punishment will only increase the harassment against Moshe Katsav - prison administrators decided to give up.

A few months ago Ami Popper, the prisoner who killed seven Arabs and became a baal teshuva was transferred from the Ma'asiyahu Torah prison wing to Ayalon prison. This is due to repeated complaints by the former president that Popper was bothering him and harassing him.

Prison Service's response to B'Chadrei Charedim "the prisoner complaints are being examined by the relevant parties within the prison. As with any exceptional event where there is no information on the identity of the operatives various actions are undertaken to detect and prevent. Wing agenda, routine activities and meals continued as usual".
