And the earth opened her mouth • View: U.S. man caught in a sinkhole

Last Thursday, 37-year-old Jeff Bush from Florida was surprised when the earth opened up in his bedroom, and swallowed him alive.

Five other people were in the house, but they managed to escape. Bush's brother jumped into the hole to save him, but he needed help and was miraculously saved.

According to the brother Jeremy, he jumped into the hole - but he couldn’t see his brother, when he realized he was trapped, too - he shouted, and the local sheriff was able to pull him out, even though everything around crumbled.

"When I jumped into the hole everything around me crumbled - but I did not care, I wanted to save my brother," said Jeremy to the American media, with tears choking him. "I swear I heard my brother call my name for help, but the TV and the cabinet disappeared together with my brother's bed, everything just disappeared into the ground," he concluded.

Local Sheriff Deputy Lt. Douglas Duvall who responded first to the call said that when he arrived he reached out to Jeremy, and saw everything around him falling apart. According to him, except for him he couldn’t see anyone.

Engineers arrived and checked the area and the land - it sits on, but did not find any natural cause for the case.
