Why did the Rebbe instruct to call the baby 'Bracha Zissel?

In Rachmastrivke a baby girl was born to the Rebbe's son in law, and he consulted with his father in law about the name • How did the Rebbe hint the answer? • And why was the name 'Bracha Zissel' chosen?

Why did the Rebbe instruct to call the baby 'Bracha Zissel?

Joy in Rachmastrivke: A granddaughter was born to the Rebbe, first daughter to the son in law of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Biderman, son of Hrh"z Nachman Ben Biderman of Lelov.

Unlike any joy at the birth of a daughter, when it is customary to hold a kiddush after davening, at the Beit Midrash on Shabbos, Rachmastrivke held a seudas Shabbos for all chassidim headed by the Rebbe. The seuda lasted until half an hour before Mincha, and at the end had the crowd passed before the Rebbe to wish him Mazel Tov.

During the break after the Torah reading and before Musaf, the baby's father, Rabbi Biderman, told about the background on the name given to the baby, Bracha Zissel.

According to him, after the birth of his daughter, he went to his father in law the Rebbe and asked him about the appropriate name for the baby. The first name in the family is customary to give after the mother's side. The Rebbe did not respond directly to the question, but began to tell his son in law, facts and enlightening stories about the mother of his father in law Rabbi Moshe Nishlas zt" l, Rebbetzin Zissel a"h, a pious woman with a special personality. The son in law did not receive a clear answer, whether it is the name his father in law the Rebbe wants to give his granddaughter, but the stories he heard was enough to decide that the name Zissel is worthy of his daughter.

When Shabbos was approaching, Rabbi Biderman met his father in law the Rebbe again, who asked him: Well, have you got a name or your daughter? "The Rebbe made me want to call her Zissel," answered the son in law. The Rebbe's face lit up, but he did not stop there and told his son in law, "you should you add to it the name 'Bracha',

because I have a special interest in giving two names." The son in law was trying to figure out if his father in law had another grandmother, but the Rebbe explained that the name Bracha' is that their home should be blessed, on the birth of the first baby. The son in law believed and accepted, and the baby girl has two names.

Disciples, who heard the words of Rabbi Biderman, told him that the Rebbe used to always advise his followers to call their daughter a name that contains the letter ה.

(Like שרה, גיטה, ברכה, etc.). "About the name 'Bracha'," those close to the Rebbe added who are already used to the Rebbe's thoughts, "the Rebbe says that you can add that name to the original name the parents want to give their child.'Bracha' is only a positive addition in any case, and does not detract anything of the parents intention, the Rebbe states."
