A mass brawl broke out on Friday night in the synagogue, Beer Sheva, in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Yisrael. Four injured in clashes - two were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, and two others went on their own to Terem clinic.
A protracted conflict between the two groups on the structure of the shul in the neighborhood came last Shabbos to a new high. Synagogue Beer Sheva, located in the neighborhood of Beis Yisrael, is a building in which has been held for the past 33 years of a gathering of chassidim and Lithuanians, who daven at the structure.
The second group is of Breslev, who had rented a small room in the same building a decade ago, and paid for rent. Breslev chassidim recently stopped paying the rent, claiming that the building - is sanctuary. The claim of the chassidim led quickly to controversy recently which led to severe violence between the parties.
Last Shabbos, a group of the regular members demanding the removal of the chassidim from the place.
A brawl developed at the site between the two sides included violence. Witnesses said in a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim that "some of those involved in a fight, apparently Breslev Hasidim, used metal batons and beat with them."
Police cars and MDA rescue forces arrived at the scene and treated the injured.
A 30 and 18 year old were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. Two others were evacuated independently to Terem clinic. Their condition is considered light to moderate.
An investigation conducted by B'Chadrei Charedim shows that since the beginning of the struggle between the parties, part of the synagogue Beer Sheva members, left the place of prayer where they prayed for years on Shabbos and Yomim Tovim.
