The case of the Judge suspected of beating his children, arrived last week in the office of the Attorney General, in every detail.
In this context, a letter arrived from the police that its position was and remains that the judge should be interrogated under warning. To this position was attached a letter of the welfare updating about the current status of the children. In face of these, the counselor held a meeting in his office on how to proceed in the case, and given the support of the prosecution of the recommendation of the police, and after considering the totality of the circumstances, including those related to this complex and sensitive family situation, the Attorney General decided to order an interrogation of the judge under warning.
Notice of the decision was also given to the President of the Supreme Court.
The Justice Ministry statement said: "Without going into the details of the investigation, we found it necessary to note that some of the publications that were published in this case about the nature of the actions attributed to the judge in question – have no basis in the investigation material collected so far."
"As to the delays which have occurred in the affair, we are upset that the treatment of the issue and different clarifications which the attorney general sought to clarify for the purpose of completing the picture, took longer than necessary on such a case, inter alia due to office error. However, the attorney believed that in a family affair of such sensitivity, one should make required completions and clarifications, before making a decision regarding it. "
