Manhattan Restaurant owners wishing to upgrade their business by upgrading the level of kashrus had a condition for receiving kosher certification to change the name of the restaurant.

Restaurant is 'Isabel', located in Manhattan, which is owned by Menachem Sandrovich and Henry Stimler. This week they received a letter from the kashrus of OU, which states that the initial condition for kosher certification, they should change the name of the restaurant.

Rabbi Moshe Elefant, who heads the OU organization, explained his request that Isabel was not a worthy commemoration and respect. "This is the name of an evil woman," he wrote.

The restaurant owners have announced that from now on the name of the restaurant is JSoho. The restaurant owners also agreed to other terms: No uncooked wine will be served in the restaurant. "We agreed to the terms of the kashrus system with hope that the upgrade will bring new clients to the restaurant," said the restaurant owners.

The restaurant is located in Soho in Manhattan; a district used as a magnet for tourists and young people.
