On the way to Cheder: a six year old injured by a vehicle on Shevatim Square in Modi'in Illit

A 6 year old boy on his way to the Talmud Torah was hit a car this morning on Shevatim Square on Yechezkel Blvd in Modi'in Illit. Hatzalah paramedics and Magen David Adom paramedics gave him primary health care at the scene of the accident, and then he was taken to Tel Hashomer hospital.

Hatzalah spokesman: "The boy was on his way to cheder. He crossed the road on the Shevatim Square and was hit by a car. Because he was on his way to cheder, his parents were not with him, and a volunteer of the Hatzalah accompanied him to the hospital until the arrival of his parents. The child was injured in the head and was treated at the scene by paramedics, when the condition is defined as moderate to severe."

MDA spokesman, Zaki Heller said that at 08:08 MDA Ayalon said the car hit a boy On Yechezkel Blvd near Modi'in Illit Shevatim Sqare. Magen David Adom paramedics provided medical care to the child and took him in critical but stable condition with pelvic and head injury to Tel Hashomer hospital.

Police officials said that the car hit a 6-year-old child pedestrian at the crosswalk on Yechezkel Blvd. Driver of the vehicle was questioned at the scene. Parallel studies investigating the circumstances of the accident began.

Tel Hashomer hospital said that the child's status in moderate to severe, and he is fully conscious.
