The draft decree hovering over the world of Torah is keeping the sages of Israel awake: Yesterday (Tuesday) Hgray"l Steinman wrote a letter in which he asked all yeshiva students to learn continuously to cancel the decree.
In his letter Hgray"l writes: "I came to strengthen B'nai Torah, to our sorrow we all fear the fate of Torah and young people who learn Torah, which is the continued future designed for the next generation, and each and everyone will try to add to the Torah, by setting aside time for Torah and yeshiva students will learn more carefully and use the time to study Torah, and keep Shabbos and all the mitzvos, and may Heaven have pity that the decree will be derived, and we will merit to pick up the Torah rays in our days."
Later on in the letter Hgray"l asks to learn continuously for five days, "according to the advice of the Ramchal zt"l try to learn continuously for 5 days to cancel the decree that they want to decree on the Yeshivas in Eretz Tisrael.
"And we hope with Hashem's help it will help to break the advice of those who are plotting to abolish the Torah of Israel. I write with regret on the terrible decree and may it be His will that the merit of Torah and those who learn Torah will bring about the abolishment of the decree."
Recall also during the last month of Tammuz, when the Tal Law was cancelled, Hgray"l called to learn continuously for three days.
