More exposure: these were associates of Ben Zeiger

The German Der Spiegel publishes new details about the company established by Zeiger and two friends in Milan, Italy for electronic products trade with Iran.

German newspaper Der Spiegel published today (Tuesday) new details on the identity of Zeiger's partners, the Mossad man who was imprisoned under a false identity in Israel who committed suicide in his cell, for the establishment of the Mossad's straw company in Italy.

According to the publication, the agents names are Paul J. and David Z., from Australia.

"They were, reportedly, successful agents," the Der Spiegel reported.

An Australian intelligence source was further quoted as claiming that the nature of the work of the three gave them access to military and confidential installations.

The three Australian friends were members in an organization in Melbourne, called "community security group" designed to protect against anti-Semitic incidents. The Mossad apparently found the three in the same organization and recruited them into its ranks.

The company was founded in Milan, in a modern office building. The company reporter who tried to call it, reached the voicemail.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's Office issued a special clarification which states that Ben Zeiger was not a double agent. "Zeiger had no contact with Australian security organizations and services. Between the State of Israel, for all its organizations, and the Government of Australia and the Australian security organizations there exists an excellent cooperation, full coordination and full transparency in handling matters on the agenda."
