Drama in Carlin: want 'lechaim'? Hand over your Smartphone
Rebbe of Carlin - Stolin, who has not officially banned his chassidim from holding a Smartphone in their possession, announced the installation of the new status, during a lechaim tish• disciples were asked to hand over the devices

Want a lechaim? Not if you have a Smartphone.
Hundreds of devotees pass every year on Purim saying 'llechaim' to the Rebbe of Carlin - Stolin, at the Great Beis Midrash in Givat Ze'ev, there the megilla is read on 14th Adar.
But this year the Rebbe surprised his chassidim. Those passing by to wish lechaim were asked to give the Rebbe the Smartphone devices in their possession. These include the iPhone, Blackberry and Galaxy.
This is a surprising move on the Rebbe's part, because until the non-kosher devices were not banned in Carlin-Stolin, so chassidim were shocked by the request of the Rebbe.
When passing by for lechaim in Carlin, the Rebbe hands out 'Brandy 777'. Due to the masses every year, not all of them are able to pass by and receive lechaim from the Rebbe.
In Carlin the band plays throughout the day, without stopping, and circle of dancers of followers will not stop even for a moment during the holiday.
Tonight at 18:00 the Rebbe will conduct a tish at the Beis Midrash. During the 'tish' the traditional presentation which lasts a long time will be held.
