Beitar Illit Mayor Meir Rubinstein, was questioned today (Tuesday) under caution at the fraud squad offices for suspicion of obstruction of justice and fraud and breach of trust.

Two suspects were arrested since the morning on the case; they will be brought for a remand hearing tomorrow at around 8:30 in the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court.

The two are suspected that part of their employment through a recruitment agency in youth centers, conducted "modesty patrols" whose role is maintaining order and modesty on the streets and buses.

The suspects allegedly committed assault and aggravated sabotage, kidnapping and false imprisonment of boys and girls, who violated by their perception the religious character of the city in their conduct.

Investigation revealed that a community was built in the city, whose goal was to maintain order and religious character of the city. Some of those involved in the case and were investigated and released under conditions to their home, are active members of several committees. The investigation is continuing.
