Saying and doing: only 40 are welcome at the Bar Mitzvah of the Rebbe's grandson

Bar Mitzvah in Satmar – small this time: Bar Mitzvah of the grandson of the Satmar Rebbe will be held tonight, will be regarded as different and unusual than was acceptable so far - and the event will be modest and small.

Although six years have passed since Hagaon Ab"dof Satmar from Williamsburg, eldest son of the Rebbe of Satmar, celebrating the bar mitzvah for his son, despite the excitement and joy, the event will be completely humble and understated.

Reason for this is "Bar Mitzvah regulations", introduced by Satmar, and that the order that at the bar mitzvah seuda, no more than 40 people will be invited. What is set for the public disciples also applies to the Rebbe. Therefore, for the Bar Mitzvah of the grandson of the Rebbe, which will be held at the Satmar Beis Midrash, no one was invited to the seuda but only 40 closest family members. Other public and guests, who come, including class members of the Bar Mitzvah boy, will be honored only by drinking lechaim and refreshments.

The Bar Mitzvah will be participated as expected; the great grandfather of Satmar who will speak in honor of the event. The following day, the Satmar Rebbe will daven at the Williamsburg Talmud Torah, where his grandson will lay tefillin and pray with ninth graders, where the boy learns.
