Not going: Gerrer Rebbe canceled trip to New York
Disappointment in Gur • Rebbe's plan to fly to New York to hold a huge rally against the threat of recruit on Purim, was cancelled • The reason: other Rebbes refused to be absent on Purim from their Hassidus in Israel

After discussions that lasted several days, it seems that the Gerrer Rebbe will cancel his planned trip to the United States.
As mentioned, the Gerrer Rebbe asked to initiate a huge outcry conference in New York signifying "Lehikahel vela'amod al nafsham" against the threat hoisted the opening of the Torah world.
The heads of the Gur Hassidus, who left last week for New York to attend the wedding of the daughter of the wealthy donor Harav Avraham Noah Klein z"l, who passed away two months ago, had already made preparations for the Rebbe's arrival.
But to the disappointment of the organizers, the trip was cancelled due to non-compliance by other Rebbes.

Indeed, the Rebbe's associates made efforts to recruit other Rebbes to the trip, but the attempts failed, since most of them wanted to have the trip after Purim.
The Vizhnitzer Rebbe claimed, for example, that it is hard to give up on the events of Purim in the Hasidus, including the special Tisches.
The Tzanzer Rebbe also refused to go at this time of Purim. But, since it was important to the Rebbe of Gur to hold the conference in the U.S. especially on the day of Purim, the trip was canceled.
