14 named after the Fogel family hy"d this year
Two years since the Fogel family massacre in Itamar • "People who don’t know us turn to us and tell us they named their children after our loved ones. This is the happiest encouragement that one can give - by giving new life"

Tonight (Sunday) will be the second anniversary of the massacre of the Fogel family hy"d in Itamar, during which the cornerstone for the boarding schools being built in memory of the family will be laid. However, turns out that the commemoration does not end with Batei Midrash and Hachnasas Sefer Torah.
14 infants were named this past year in the name of the family, and they join the 20 babies named after family members last year.
Family members murdered in the brutal massacre in Itamar settlement in Samaria, are: Udi (36.5) and Ruth (35) Fogel - and their children Yoav (11), Elad (4) and Hadas (3 months).
"It's very emotional," says Tali Ben Yishai, mother of Ruth Fogel hy"d. "People who don’t know us turn to tell us they named their children after our loved ones. Families from Modiin, Beit Shean, Ma'aleh Adumim and Jerusalem, are seeking to encourage and identify, and do it in the most joyful way, by giving new life and new light."
Ben-Yishai says that she makes sure to write down the names of the babies born. Among babies named after family members are also twins.
Family members, Yeshiva in Itamar, and Rabbi Ronetzky, invite the public to the memorial anniversary dinner held in Itamar.
Ministers, MKs and rabbis are expected to attend the ceremony.
