"Let's live as brothers". This is how the historical peace was woven
Minutes after the decease, Hagaon R' M. M. approached his older brother: "If we will not live as brothers, neither of us will benefit", and the "deal" was under way. Exclusive: where is the will? Who is responsible for the peace? And where will the brothers sit Shiva?

For many years, tension between the two brothers from Viznitz has been accompanying the Chassidus, but despite the gloomy forecasts, it seems that unity which was the pillar of the Rebbe zt"l will accompany his sons as well, on the sad day in which the pre-eminent leader went up to Yeshiva shel Ma'ala.
Behadrey Hareidim found out that last night (Tuesday), a few minutes after the bitter news became known, Harav Hatzadik R' Menachem Mendel went up to his brother Harav Hagaon R' Y. Hager and said, cryingly, "Let's live as brothers: it will be good for ma and for you. If we won't live as brothers – neither of us will benefit".
The two decided that the moneys which will be donated to the chassidus during the Shiva will be collected in a mutual treasury which will be supervised by a person appointed by both sides. At the end of the Shiva the money will be split equally between the two parties of the chassidus.
The crying brothers wept on each other's shoulders, and it seems that despite the tension of many years, the bitter grief has managed to soften the tension and bring to the longed for peace between the two brothers.
During the night, representatives on behalf of the two brothers agreed upon all the details pertaining to the levaya. On behalf of R' Y. sat Harav Benzion Stanger and on behalf of R' M.M. sat Harav Yaakov Walzer. The two came to an agreement that the two brothers will be appointed as successors of their father, and each one will lead his folk separately. In addition, the brothers will walk together at the levaya, and will sit Shiva in the same house. It was also agreed upon that Harav M.M. Hager will daven each morning at his Beis Midrash "Merkaz Chasidei Viznitz", and after the Tefilla will receive consolations at the Beis Midrash. The Chassidim will be able to give Kvitlach after the Tefilla, but during the day – at the hours when the two brothers will sit together – none of them will receive Kvitlach.
Behadrey Haredim found out that the will of the Rebbe was placed for safekeeping in the hands of Hagaon Harav Vazner and in the hands of the lawyer Shmuel Appel who is one of the Chassidim of the Rebbe. According to authorities in the chassidus, the Rebbe included in his will clear and specific instructions as to the continued leadership in the chassidus, which will prevent disputes in the future.
