White House breaks silence: "Our thoughts with the families"

The White House responds tonight (Tuesday) for the first time to the kidnapping of the boys.

A statement issued by the White House said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the Israeli three boys kidnapped last week, may they unite with their children soon."

It should be noted that Secretary of State John Kerry already addressed the abduction on Sunday and strongly condemned the criminal act, however, he implied that still is not clear who is responsible.

Obama however - ignored the perpetrators. "We are still looking for information about those responsible for this heinous act of terrorism, despite many signs that point to the involvement of Hamas," he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed the abduction at the start of his meeting with the Quartet envoy and said: "The abduction proves the true face of Hamas. Not only is it committed to the murder of Israelis, it is charged in the abduction of children.

"The international community should condemn Hamas for its terrorist activities, to support Israel's right to self-defense and it should also call on President Abbas to end his alliance with Hamas. Anyone who supports peace must say to the Palestinian Authority that they can not form a government supported by the kidnappers and murderers of innocent people," Netanyahu said.
