Rabbi Yosef Yehuda Avraham Vind z"l; father of seven

The worst tragedy in Belz Hasidus: cleared for publication - the name of the person killed in an accident in the early morning on Route 1 near Ein Hemed, who was on his way home from the wedding of the Belzer Rebbe's granddaughter. This is Yosef Yehuda Avraham Vind z"l, a Belz Hasid, resident of Beit Shemesh, whose life was abruptly cut short when he was only one 31 years old.

Yossi z"l, as he was known, was born in Jerusalem on 14th Tammuz 5743 to his father Rabbi Aharon Vind, a prominent Belzer chossid and frequent visitor to the Rebbe's home, who is in charge of writing the words of the Rebbe in his house during meetings and visits, and his mother, Mrs. Esther Tzipora nee Gross.

He is the grandson of the late Rabbi Baruch Vind who serves as ba'al tefilla in Belz.

During his childhood and his youth he was raised in institutions of Torah of Belz and did well there.

After graduating Belz yeshiva in Jerusalem, he married his wife Bluma Pesia, daughter of Rabbi Chaim Zvi Galendower, owner of the Galendower parchment factory in Givat Shaul, Jerusalem.

The deceased z"l soon endeared himself on his teachers and friends. He had a pleasant countenance and discourse, welcoming everyone, adhering to the majesty and grandeur that he acquired at his great father's home, a man of action and grace who benefit the public, and a heritage that he received from his great grandfather, Rabbi Hillel Vind z"l, whose days were constant devotion to Torah and Judaism.

He later studied at the Kollel of Belz and moved to Beit Shemesh. After years of studying he went to work for a living and was deputy director of the branch of Yesh Chessed supermarket network in Beit Shemesh, where he worked with great dedication and served the customers faithfully, and employees of the branch paid him back with love and affection.

Acquaintances relate in tears and disbelief of a person who was entirely kindness and helping others, it is so hard to believe that Yossi is not with us, he was so close to everyone.

"The grief and shock is great in Belz, we do not know what to do, surely the days of joy which were supposed to be celebrated with joy and elation turned into mourning, the sheva brochas days will be without an orchestra."

He is survived by his parents, brothers and sisters, his wife and seven children, the oldest 10 years old, and the youngest about two years old, orphans left without a father and support.

Zaka commander of Beit Shemesh, Rabbi Avraham Kop, came to inform the widow of the grave news, along with volunteers of United Hatzalah.

His funeral will leave at 14:00 pm from the funeral home in Sanhedriya, Jerusalem via Beit Midrash of Belz to Har Hamenuhos where he will be interred in the lot of Machzikei Hadas.

Shiva sitting is in his father's home, Rabbi Aharon Vind, on 15 Divrei Chaim Street, Jerusalem.
